Artist
statement:
I have usually taken disgusting and cruel images. I have especially used
bodies and dead images to try to make ironical work. This is because I
always feel out of place for our bodies - something like the distance
between the reality and the world of media. Dead images are flooded in
the internet. Actually there are a lot of fanatics of dead images or horror
films. I really like finding the hidden side of human character or hypocrisy.
I suppose that bad taste or grotesqueness is always connected with human
desires and instincts. I really like the idea that bad taste or grotesqueness
can be purified to the beautiful and illusory world.
Currently I try to explore the boundary between the reality and the fantasy
that human madness comes and goes. What is the normality and the abnormality
for human beings through perversion, sexuality, horror images, and so
on?
