Artist Statement:
I am a poet, painter and short-story writer, now working freelance at
all these activities. My style of painting has varied considerably over
the years but, more often than not, depicts a domestic scene based on
my immediate environment - Swansea Bay being a backdrop to many of my
compositions. My last two books were "Music You You Don't Normally
Hear", a study of homelessness in Swansea (Alun Books, 3 Crown Street,
Port Talbot) and "LMNTRE Poems" by Vernon Watkins, which I illustrated.
(Ty Llen Publications, Swansea). Among my literary and artistic inspirations
have been Raymond Carver, Charles Bukowski, Picasso, the Surrealists and
Julian Schnabel.
