Artist Statement

"CLAPPING W. 1 Hand"

I have always been inspired by Music! Music is my big love!
But somehow I ended as a painter rather than a musician. I like to see myself as A Rockstar, a Rockstar Painter!

...I am not here to fool anyone, but I have to admit, -I am not a Rockstar, I am pretty boring. I smoke a pipe, and drink a lot of coffee...

BUT...to get me started on a painting, I NEED music. I don't know what it is.
Once I called it "a chemical marriage", but that was when I painted in oil...

now I only use non-toxic, or as non-toxic it comes, acrylic paint. -hang on, I need to put on some music--- ok...To best describe it, I will use musical terms:

I have just finished an Ambient Symphony, consisting of about 50 abstract minimalist baroque paintings, with three colors -white, grey & yellow. They are called Discs..-

What you see in this magazine, is the fruit mainly of my Popsong phaze.

-which simply means, fashion magazine-commercial portraits..
.with bright happy colors

The other part printed here, is the fruit of my Frank Zappa Frenzy.
That means,

wildly experimental, abstract-baroque, concept paintings, painted on cloth from common household-living, -paintings that tells a story to the imaginative
open-
minded percepter.

When I first started drawing & painting, I was interested in listening.
I am now interested in rather looking....You try to fool the eye -but to listen to a painting would be my main goal in Life;

(Oh,you want to be a writer!)

Since then, it has been my mission to not just fool the mind, but to fool the eye.

In some cases I have succeeded, in others I have failed.
I hope it adds up to one big picture, that doesn't fool anyone -just plays around a little bit.
