Artist statement
Andres Jaroslavsky was born in Argentina in 1970. His first exhibition was held at the City Screen of York (UK), in January 2003.
His second exhibition was at Melton's Too (York) in April 2003. It was called "The kitchen" and included a group of eight paintings and drawings representing kitchen scenes.
In July 2003 he began a series of three exhibitions jointly with the artist Malcolm Ludvigsen. The first such exhibition was held in the Chapel at York Cemetery.
The second exhibition took place in October at the Mulberry Bush Gallery, York. At the same time Andres received a commission for a mural for the newly opened restaurant "The Olive Tree".
The last of these exhibitions took place at King's Manor, part of the University of York, from December 2003 until March 2004.
