Artist Statement:

From darkness comes light – from joy comes sorrow –from bitterness comes sweetness –from clichés come more clichés.

Through my time based practice I explore digital, visual experimentation, utilising video as a performative tool.
Involving self-expression towards the feeling inadequacy inherent in the search of truth, power and the loss of control, this coheres with issues such as social stigma and taboos.
Exercising personal injury-resulting in personal survival, turning the negative into the positive.
Resulting in an audio-visual experience that thematically relates to disposable fetishized culture.

I have show work in exhibitions in Turku, Finland in 2002, and more recently showcased work at UGC cinema, ‘Trailer Park’ a night of art, Cardiff March 2003, also a performance/installation at Graft festival, Nottingham Trent University, April 2003 and video showcase at E.M.A.F, Germany, April 2003.

‘Alien Sex’ Video (approx 3mins)

A transgenic mutation of video art and imagination, evocative of David Lynch’s absurd dream-like creations and a dark, comicbook, soft-porn nightmare.

According to Freud most dreams are about sex.
My work comes from dreams-therefore it could be about sex.
But mostly my work proves that dreams (fantasy) and reality are one and the same.
