Artist Statement:

PRINTED TEXTILES
My work deals with the themes surrounding flowers and the symbolism and meanings attached to them through personal memory. I have used keepsakes
collected by my family as inspiration for my work as each object is
treasured for the specific memories that it evokes.
The collections created are for use within contemporary interiors with the intention that they should soften otherwise harsh minimalist lines through luxurious fabrics and experimental surfaces. The designs are predominantly
print based by with elements of embellishment through appliqué, beading and embroidery. By including an element of nostalgia in my work, my designs evoke memories and a sense of comfort through familiarity of shape or
texture.
I am available to work to commission.
