Artist Statement

This is the first week of November in the fifth year of the 'new' millennium. But, is it really new? Is our time progressing? Are we really changing? Yes, we are continuously constructing and reconstructing everything, yes, we now have trees always staying green and yes, we have lights brilliantly illuminating, but, are we really changing? When we are still looking at the colossal bridges and huge ships staying on the river, when we do not see dirty cartons and cigarette ends in the marooned corner, when there are chewing gums stuck on our eye-catching colorful lane, and when we are pursuing our tradition of leaving, are we really changing? When our violin is imitating the same voices it heard from the places it has been and when we are closing to death every other day with our wish for developing, are we really changing? Yes, we are becoming the Gods behind bars being afraid of our nature, yes, our chains are becoming tighter and tighter, yes, we are still leaving our signs in every place with our hope of survival, and yes, our solitude is horridly deepening but, are we really changing?
