'The Creative Swing is looking for collaborators. We are a group of artists,
performers, DJs, actors, musicians, photographers, writers, etc and we
have set up a monthly club night in Farringdon, London to act as a forum
for all types of creative people. Each night, in addition to the music,
we will display artwork, stage short performances, dance sets, games,
costumes, body paint, story telling, mixed media projects and anything
else that the artists and performers prepare for the night.
The main goal of The Creative Swing, though, is to create a space, an
environment, where creative people can get together to develop projects
and share their time, ideas and energy. If someone has been thinking about
writing a play for a while, meeting up with a director and a stage decorator
may just give them the necessary stimulation to get the project off the
ground. Likewise, a textile designer may meet up with a cartoonist and
start their own clothing company.
If all this sounds good to you, please get involved. We
are looking for artists who may be interested in displaying their work
and in performers who may want to stage a short act on the night.
The next
night will be on the 8th November at The Betsey Trotwood pub, 56 Farringdon
Road, EC1 (8pm till 1am).
