A captivating display of Kathak dancing from the Royal court of the
Moghul Kings.

Somerset House invites you to a celebration of Kathak dancing in the
magnificent fountains of the courtyard.

Akademi South Asian dance UK presents the splendors of the Moghul Court
recreated in the magnificent setting of the Edmond J. Safra Fountain
Court in a series of four FREE dazzling performances accompanied by live
percussion. Inspired by the Heaven on Earth: Art from Islamic Lands
exhibition currently on display in the Hermitage Rooms, the courtyard
will explode with colour, energy and vibrancy as the artists dance in and around the fountains.

Come as a casual Londoner or even dressed up as a Moghul courtier, sit
back and enjoy the magical sights and sounds of traditional dance and
music to the backdrop of the contemporary Somerset House courtyard.

The Courtyard Bar and River Terrace Restaurant will be open during
performances serving light snacks and drinks.
