Seconds Out Slam
North VS South
‘Come on down if you think you’re hard enough!’ we told them – and damn it – they’re on their way!
There’s a rift in Apples & Snakes as the regions prepare for battle...
Manchester’s seconds out slam comes down to London to take on our best slam poets. The rules are simple, 180 seconds on the mic and then it’s up to you who stays and who goes.
Slam impresario Segun Lee-French will be ringing the bell and calling for fair play and the judging is down to you.
We’ll be keeping a couple of open slots on the bill too for some wild-card competitors (on a first-come first-served basis)
On the Defence representing Apples& Snakes’ southerly region is BBC3 Slam winner 2004, Kat Francois and 2005 Urban music nominee, shortMAN
And on the front line, Northern Apples & Snakes micers Ross Sutherland (Aisle 16) and Tony Walsh who launched his career following a win on the Seconds Out Slam North.
But when the wild cards are unleashed will they turn it all around?
It’s gonna be big, it’s gonna be nasty – we’re setting up the ring in the main house and DJ’s will supply the beats
So let’s get ready to rumble...
