‘You can’t stop this even if I want you to’ Private View: Friday 2 of July 2004 - 7:00 pm until late Exhibition runs from: 3 of July - 15 of July Red Gate Opening Hours: Tuesdays - Saturdays: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Red Gate Gallery is pleased to present a group show by seven exciting new contemporary artists. The works produced indulge the ambiguous and the sublime through the medium of photography and installation. The audio-visual element of the exhibition comprises of two installation pieces created by Daniel Baker and Matthew Stephens, as well as a video projection, sequencing photographic imagery produced by Ayjan Ibrahim, DG Golddigger, Katherine Calil, Grace Wood and Shiraz Ksaiba. Their work subjects you to the notion of fear and beauty. In addition, there is a performance by Art Brute, Simon Bookish and Nadia Ksaiba. The show will explore the narrative relationship between paradise and the abyss of desire. 6 artists involved graduated from Middlesex University and one from ENMU in New Mexico. Many of these artists have exhibited in numerous venues/shows, ranging from the Royal College, Show Some Love, Sunset People and The Foundry. |
