ERIC DUNCAN (A1 Records, New York) - House/Italo/Disco/Deep Classics/Sleazy
Jams VOICES continues its series of monthly events at Plastic People on THURSDAY 25th MARCH. We're pleased to be welcoming ERIC DUNCAN (A1 Records / A.R.E Weapons) over from New York. For 3 years Eric has been co-hosting the now-infamous downtown 'Rub & Tug' all night loft parties -- keeping safe the freakish character of 70s & 80s New York ... He's also behind the counter at A1 Records in Manhattan's Lower East Side, one of the city's best-known underground music collector's stores. In the studio Eric & Thomas' (Rub & Tug) disco credentials have garnered them production work for Crossover, Greyhound, Tummy Touch and Exist Dance. Their band (with DJ Harvey as one bandmate) 'Map Of Africa' are currently in the studio recording an album. Eric and DJ Spun have teamed up for a couple of promo-only projects on the Rong label as 'How & Why?' - their collaborators on the second release 'Cruising' include Daniel Wang on keys and Steven Hall on guitar (who played with Arthur Russell). ---- see you a week on Thursday! peace
