hours Cafe Date: 8 April - 5 June 2005 Location: 5 & 8 Great Newport Street Title: Deutsche Porse Photography Prize 2005 Four shortlisted photographers for this year's annual Photography Prize exhibition. The Prize aims to reward a living photographer, of any nationality, who made the most significant contribution to the medium of photography, as an exhibition or as a publication, during the past year and within Europe. The winner will be announced on 11 May and will receive £30,000 and each of the three runners-up will receive £3,000. Date: 17 June - 31 July 2005 Location: 8 Great Newport Street Title: Lise Sarfati: The American Series The American Series is the first major exhibition of the photographer Lise Sarfati and includes intimate and reflective images of young people in their homes or regular hang-outs. The exhibition will include fifty colour photographs from recent work in the United States, and a slide show of sixty-nine images accompanied by a musical soundtrack. Date: 17 June - 31 July 2005 Location: 5 Great Newport Street Title: Cuny Janssen: Finding Thoughts The Photographers’ Gallery will present an exhibition of photographs by the Dutch photographer Cuny Janssen (b. 1975). Selected from her ongoing series of portraits and landscapes depicting both young people and their countries, these images will be on view in the Gallery at 5 Great Newport Street from June. The exhibition will comprise thirty-five photographs taken from 2003 to the present and will be the first time Janssen’s work will be shown in the UK. *************************************************************************************************** The Print
