Travelling
through the modern urban 'legoland' of spaces, passing through a faceless,
but hidden fantastical margin. The images i have submitted are a partial combination of two years work and seperate projects that have run into each other, concluding with the "Islands" series (degree show). With this series I have focused on the roundabout (traffic island), an obstacle that we all pass by at some point where nothing happens, but has significance in being a meeting point. "Nodes
are the points, the strategic spots in a city into which an observer can
enter, and which are the intensive foci to and from which people are travelling.
They are junctions, places of a break in transportation, a crossing or
convergence of paths, moments of shift from one structure to another."
Moments of unspoken gesture.... George Harris / August 2002.
