1) RSA 2002- the NEW MINI
Two classmates and I took part at the RSA 2002 competition. The task was
to look at one of the challenges:
-launch of a new corporate identity
-launch of a new product, service or brand
My friends
and I went to the production plant of BMW where the NEW MINI is being
manufactured. They explained us the production processes which we linked
with our background of the design processes.
2) CI of
Wedgwood
1) Staffordshire University is located in Stoke-on-Trent, the UK’s
capital of the ceramics industry. Contacts in the local headquarters enabled
to gather primary and relevant information through visits at the design
studio and interviews with designers and (marketing) managers. A visit
at the trade fair “Ambiente” in Frankfurt/Germany was giving
the opportunity to make observations in an international arena.
Eventually, this should enable a summary of multi-disciplinary design
processes, such as the management of Wedgwood’s corporate identity
in domestic and international markets.

Where I am now
This presentation summarises my educational background, my interests,
aims and objectives.

What is effective Design Management?
This presentation was created to give an overview of the Design Management
profession and how it could fit in an/any industry. It also shows that
a designer manager can do more than “designing products”…people
have different assumptions of the new term/ new profession.
