Artist Statement:
Lace, crochet, metallics and beadwork combine to form my first evening
wear collection. The look is sophisticated, organic, distressed and contrasts
drapping with stiff defying what is expected from knitted fabric. The
collection was inspired by an odd combination of renaissance angels and
medieval knights.
Though I am particularly inspired by the past I am very interested in
experimenting with new techniques and pushing the boundaries of what has
already been achieved. My work is therefore innovative yet wearable. With
the help of my sponsors I have been able to produce garments in the highest
quality materials and finish. I will be looking for work in Paris however
I am open to other opportunities should they arise.
I would like to thank all those that have helped and supported me though
my degree especially through the last months: Richard and Roberta, Dan,
Hanno, Lee, Bulent, Emily and Megan, My 2nd year helpers and models- Lynette,
Maggie, Caroline, Louise and of course all my family.
Special thanks to my Sponsors: N Bloom and Co, Swarovski and Todd and
