Artist
Statement: Who am I? Emotional behaviour can be as expressive and as passionate as you want it to be with a language of it’s own if you take the time to read it. Most of my artwork is in pastel and oil, based on eyes; I have always found them fascinating and interpret them in varying mediums which emphasises moods and emotions that I feel the need to convey - it’s an extension of who I am, whether it be about society, anger, happiness, culture or just an expression of mind. More recently I have extended my own paintings into “graphic manipulation” in which I can re-create my work into yet another dimension, giving possibly a more up to date feel to my creations, an addition to my portfolio. I want people to look at my artwork and think about what it is I am trying to say, step inside my work, there’s a lot going on inside there. History: I have studied
Art for many years and have exhibited both locally and further a field
on a regular basis, the latest exhibition being Waterloo Gallery in London,
which was a wonderful breakthrough. However, you can never learn enough
and I have just begun a Degree in Fine Art as a “mature Student”
on a part time basis and love every minute of it, it not only allows me
to explore new techniques but will expand my vision. |
