Artists Statement

After Graduating from Herefordshire College of Art and Design, with a BA (HONS) in Design Crafts, I have been involved in many exhibitions within Oxfordshire. My recent exhibition was in Newington House Gallery, Charlbury. Where I received an overwhelming response to my works.

I focus my work upon the British seaside towns such as Hastings. I particularly concentrate of the structural side of the towns, the sky-scraping cliffs, and the undersized houses elegantly placed within the cliffs. I previously focused on the Victorian era of seaside towns, with the decorative ironwork, and the sympathetic detail that went into every part of the town’s appearance.

I am currently taking my art into different levels, I have always enjoyed experimenting with assorted techniques and areas of art. I have recently finished a photography course, which has given me a greater scope for the feeling of striking architecture and detail.

I am also helping a local singer/songwriter to develop a Demo CD cover design.

My work however continues to recognise the beauty and simplicity that is associated with British Seaside Towns.
