Artist Statement

"Well where do I begin? I got my digital camera last summer after I came back from a family holiday in Crete. I guess seeing all the various holiday snappers through to professional photographers made me think about getting my own camera. It was not until nearly a year later (June of this year to be precise) that I really started to take an interest in the wonderful art of photography.

I decided before I went to Majorca on holiday that I would come back with some awesome shots (don't we all say that!) to show people. I had never been shown anything really to do with photography so it was kind of new to me when I started taking photos during the holiday. I must admit thought that I immediately took to it like a duck to water. Once I started taking more photos I could see that I was improving. I came back from Majorca with some lovely photos.

When I arrived home from Majorca it was the beginning of July so I had the whole summer ahead of me to practice my photography. That's when it all started to kick off! I just got more and more addicted to taking photos and I would even get my parents to stop the car if I seen a good photo opportunity.

Now that summer is officially over I can look back and see the photographs that I have taken.

All in all I plan to continue with photography and build upon my skills."
