Artist Statement: The inspiration for my designs comes from my fascination of history and my love of period costume. Having recently graduated from London college of Fashion where I gained skills in pattern cutting, corsetry, millinery, tutu construction, dancewear and breaking down of costumes. My main interest lies in design and carried out detailed historical research for texts such as ‘Perfume’ by Patrick Suskind and ‘La Reine Margot’by Alexandre Dumas. I have previously worked as a Dresser for The English National Opera, constructed and broken down costumes for the Venetian Opera company and created hats for Ballet Ramberts production ‘Parade’s Gone By’’.
