Artist Statement:

Kavel produces sophisticated illustrations and prints with a retro feel, mounted on to architectural blocks.

Combining printing techniques, drawing, found images, painting and collage to create moments in time. Personal without being intrusive,
Kavel’s work communicates common feeling. Looking at the banal and seeing beauty, making the everyday into something special. Combining sometimes disparate images to make something new and exciting. Kavel’s drawings are thought provoking, funny and often have an underlying sadness.

Kavel’s blocks can be displayed as individual pieces, in small clusters or in large groups. Kavel’s blocks are currently on sale in Applied Arts Agency London, Shelf London, The Collection Paris, or buy direct from her studio.

Kavel has recently worked on design projects with Levi’s, Ted Baker, Topshop, Illustrated ape, Italian publishers Fabrica on Benetton food book and architects Brinkworth.
