Artist Statement

My paintings explore the immense struggle we go through to keep up with today’s materialistic world and the confusion, chaos and tension that result from different interpretations of reality. By looking beyond the superficial appearance of everyday life, my work asserts a different and hidden side to urban reality (estrangement, isolation, overcrowding) and reveals elements often imperceptible to casual observance. I work with enamel, mostly on canvas, to give a delicacy and flexibility to the urban perspective.
