Artist's Statement:

I have never been comfortable talking about my paintings and I would hope it does not need an explanation. My recent work has been figurative, based mainly on the human figure, and exploring the effect of light and shade and the use of colour to represent the world I see, and to evoke certain moods and sentiments in the viewer.
