Artist Statement

"My pictures are the product of a childhood spent lying, and believing those lies, and illustrating them to give them weight. I don’t lie half as much nowadays. As well as my own imagination, the drawings are influenced by the dregs of pop culture, friends stories and eastern European fiction. The black comedies of Waugh, Saki and William Cooper are also a constant crutch."
