Artist Statement

Following my success at Fresh Art 2002 (Business Design Centre, London) where I was awarded Graduate of the year 2002, I used prize money to travel to Australia and spent 12 months exploring the landscape, culture and diverse range of people in the country. This directly inspired the undertaking of a collection of large-scale paintings produced through out my travels, later flown back to the UK for an exhibition.

It is safe to say I have fallen in love with the landscape and the climatic extremes I witnessed during my travels and I feel this collection of work encapsulates the spirit of Australia and its ever-changing landscape.
