Artist Statement:

Writing or speaking about my artwork can sometimes be difficult but it can never be said that it is always the central core of the work itself. To be more precise it is dysfunction, trauma and a feeling of being incommunicado. I used to think this was a problem but over the past four years I have embraced this ideology as my work is performative in nature, performative meaning that the work is a living and breathing extension of myself, of my autobiography. It is my belief this is commonplace in the majority of everyone’s psyche despite not everyone wishing to acknowledge it. There are various sub-themes dependant on context but the aforementioned issues are always prevalent.
