Artist Statement

These images are part of a larger body of work exploring the landscape of Dartmoor.Dartmoor is renowned for its geographical features such as the impressive granite tors that dominate the landscape but is our relationship with the landscape that I wished to explore with my imagery, these images illustrate the devastation caused by industry that has now ceased.
Using a large format camera and traditional black and white photographic materials I have been able to have complete creative control over the imagery and all images are printed on double weight fibre based papers and then selenium toned for archival longevity.
