statement: I have been producing photographs for commercial use for a few years now, whether its music related or press work. But I have an artistic background which allows me to explore art and push photography. I use whatever tools are needed for each job. That might be medium format cameras, digital cameras or computer manipulation. Strong colour and texture is important to me, the content of the picture doesn’t have to be obvious if the subject has a strong shape. I also enjoy using opposite poles like mixing old with new sharp with soft and rough with smooth. I am also launching a new idea in interactive art: How about owning a piece of photographic art where you choose the subject and the picture is produced by me. You have total control on the subject whether it’s a portrait or and abstract, you make the decisions over colour and props, as much input as you like then I take on board the ideas and shoot the picture.
