Artist Statement

I am a professional freelance illustrator working since 1997 for several major Taiwanese publishers. My work has been included in major national Taiwanese and Chinese newspapers, as well as in several magazines and books with topics ranging from Children’s stories, parent and childcare, self help series, finance, business, literature, Buddhist philosophies, English Language teaching to Chinese, translations of several famous Western book covers, e.g. The English : A Portrait of a People, Freak the Mighty, and Google Eyes.

Though my illustrations have been very well received in Taiwan, I have a strong desire to have my work published in the UK and in Europe in order to see my work in a much larger, cross-cultural arena. Having studied in the UK, I’d like to now establish my own colourful and playful style in the European marketplace.
