Artist Statement:

Rescued, re-imagined, re-used: I create three-dimensional collages from everyday junk.

Working with both found images, graphics and patterns and discarded materials, such as wooden off-cuts, plastic and wallpaper, I use techniques including printing, appliqu, marquetry and casting to apply my two-dimensional collages to three-dimensional surfaces.

The images, graphics, designs and patterns, which I layer and combine, present themselves to me on walls, in the street, in piles of junk. When selecting materials, I leave interesting patinas untouched, while lavishing time and effort on giving other surfaces a high quality finish.

I treat the things I find with respect not usually shown to such junk. I hope to show the things that people discard in a new light.
