Statement
My work is
rarely influenced by any concrete ideas or preconceptions, instead I prefer
to be guided by ‘feelings’ or ‘states of mind/being’.
It is rather an ‘intuitive journey’ for me. I spend a great
deal of time in nature, which is one of the strongest influence in both
my photography and abstract painting. I have a passion for color and particulary
for the ‘quality of light’ that I may perceive in the skies
of north Wales, these are some of the elements which ‘trigger’
certain ‘states of being’ in me and which will later appear
in my work.
I am fascinated by issues relating the nature of ‘reality’
and the ‘physical world’ to the nature of the ‘spiritual’
and ‘consciousness’. It is this that creates a strong element
influencing all my work.
