Stephen Shaw
BA Hons Graphic Design

Born Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Watercolour artist and Graphic Designer.
Working professionally from a studio in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter

I paint contemporary scenes of Belfast and other towns in Northern Ireland. Avoiding well known landmarks and tourist attractions, concentrating on buildings in states of change and decay. I seldom paint the whole building, or Street, focusing on the part that intrests me. All paintings are 100% Watercolour with a highly detailed finish. The textures and colours of the City provide my inspirations. I paint what is all around and mostly goes unnoticed. Documenting the subtle changes the City goes through in this period of it's development.
