Matt's Gallery
The intention of Matt's Gallery is to provide artists with the space
and time to develop new ideas and possibly new ways of working while
making a new work for the space in which it is to be exhibited.
In this way it was hoped to provide the best possible conditions
for the making and exhibiting of fine art, in particular to allow
for the fine tuning for which there is often not enough time at
other galleries. Artists include Gary Stevens, Victor Burgin, Jo
Bruton, Willie Doherty and Hayley Newman.

Mobile Porch
MOBILE
PORCH started in Nov 99 as a temporary site-specific proposal for
the public art program of NKAT, coordinated by Georgia Ward.
MOBILE PORCH is a collaboration between the artists Kathrin Bahm
; Stefan Saffer and architect Andreas Lang. Its initial idea was
to create a tool that allows links between contemporary art practice
and a local audience. During 2000 MOBILE PORCH developed also into
a prototype for public sites. It was designed in order to create
an appropriate object for a public sphere that was multifunctional
in its use and flexible in its purpose. MP is very clear and very
ambiguous, in both its design and its purpose. Its full meaning
and definition will be developed over time.
